It is important that your school work continues and during term time this takes up most of your day. There will also be time set aside to meet with team specialists and this takes priority over school work. This gives you a chance to talk about any difficulties you are having and have specialist one to one help.

There is an experienced teaching assistant who talks with your local education provider or, if you do not live locally, through our virtual online school which is managed by Loughborough College. All core GCSE and A level subjects are covered and we can help with more advanced or specialised subjects where necessary.

If you are not attending school or college there is a study skills programme to help you so you will not be bored.

Later in your treatment you may be able to return to your home school. This is initially on a part time basis but increases as you get closer to leaving Riverdale.

Throughout your time with us we want you to keep up with your mainstream curriculum work but we also provide a wide range of extracurricular creative activities. These include craft sessions, quizzes, cinema visits, bowling, shopping and themed events.
